Kelly Stanfield Carter is no stranger to the courtroom or to the citizens of Rockingham County. With over 27 years of experience working within the Clerk of Superior Court system in both Guilford and Rockingham Counties, Kelly has built a career rooted in professionalism, compassion, and a deep commitment to public service.
Her journey in the North Carolina Judicial Branch began in 1996, and since then, Kelly has held various roles that have prepared her for the responsibilities of Clerk of Superior Court. From handling estates, adoptions, and guardianships to working closely with judges, attorneys, and the public, Kelly has seen firsthand how important this office is to the lives of everyday people.
Kelly is more than her résumé. She’s a devoted wife, mother, and proud North Carolinian who believes in doing what’s right, even when no one is watching. She lives by the phrase “Justice for All”, not just in the courtroom, but in her daily life.
